Like Google’s algorithm for displaying search results, ours is an opaque and mysterious process for choosing cars for the Hemmings Find of the Day. I will say this, though: It certainly does not hurt to see a photo of the car in question lighting up its flame thrower exhaust, as is the case with this 1957 Lincoln Premiere for sale on Hemmings.com, a four-door sedan that has seen extensive customization to go along with those flamethrowers. From the seller’s description:
Fins 8” longer. Custom cruiser skirts; door scoops; homemade continental kit; homemade spinners.
Custom paint; classic custom drawer knob grille; lake pipes, flame throwers; adjustable rear air shocks (with compressor); engine is 429 Merc; C-6 trans; F-100 truck rear/axle.
After market air conditioner. Car always start right up. Inspected and in great mechanical condition. Everything works. Reliable long range cruiser. Burns no oil.
There are a few small chips off the paint here and there, and a few 1″-3″ rust/bubble spots….normal things from years of use. Cosmetically the car is not 100% perfect…just those small things. I still have some of the custom acrylic enamel paint in good condition for touching up/repairs.
Won 60+ trophies.
